The song is "These Days," and Nico's recording of it appeared on the soundtrack of The Royal Tenenbaums (2001). It also appeared as the soundtrack to a recent KMart commercial, oddly enough.

The same version also appears on the albums Chelsea Girls and Nico: The Classic Years.

Paul Westerberg does a great cover version on his record Come Feel Me Tremble.

I guess it's a theme - Dylan's new album has a song called "Ain't Talking" and the chorus goes like this:

its jackson browne, "these days", from his album "for every man". its one of the best albums of all time, whether or not you hold the darryl hannah thing against him. i always play this album when i start a painting.
