First off, sex is a great method of fertilizing an egg!! And if you're afraid of sex, don't bother reading on. ;)

Are you trying to conceive? Are you worried about what to do?

A healthy life is very pertinent to conception also. Avoid alcohol, get lots of rest, lower stress levels, take vitamins, and start preparing physically and mentally.

Are you monitoring you cycle? Women's cycles are an average of 28 days, but not uncommonly 25-35 days. Your cycle begins on the first day of your menstruation. That is day one. Around Day 14(of a 28-day cycle) is when you ovulate, and therefore prime conception time. Ovulation has many symptoms, some are similar to your period, but one of the most common is a change in your cervical fluid. Your CF will become clear, almost like an egg white. There are many descriptions I could use, but I won't for the sake of children who may read this.

OK, now it's time for sex. Most people will recommend intercourse before day 14 since sperm can live for several days in a women's body. The positions of sex can vary. Most common for couples trying to conceive is missionary(man on top) and afterwards place a pillow under your hips for 20-60 minutes to retain his sperm. Also common is doggie style. This is especially helpful if you have a tipped uterus(most uterus' extend towards the back, but if it is tipper it will lean forward, unto your bladder).

This is only the beginning of conception methods. And we haven't even talked about pregnancy yet!

Good luck, hope all goes well and you aren't so afraid anymore.

This is a wonderful thing. Congratulations. Now, I will say plan on saving money because those beautiful babies are expensive. Especially when it comes to diapers. Be sure you are always there for her, it can become very stressful because she will become very emotional (due to the hormonal change) and her getting bigger. Other than that, nobody really plans for a baby to come, most of the time it is a big surprise. You learn as you go. You will enjoy it.

Afraid of what? His thingy? Birthing process? Being a Mother? That 'smell' coming from the diaper? Spit up? Finances? Making you more worried, am I?
