All I was wanting to do today was visit the Physics chat, now that I have studied up on Dark Matter...and enjoy the intellectual flow of conversation.... but, It was all about dating, not science...I was asked if I had a web cam and all I wanted was Q & A about Astrophysics. No one would talk to me about science. bummer...anyone want to chat IM just for relaxing...I have physics jokes as well....ah well...I was just let down I guess.

Relevant to your question, its about numbers and equilibrium and the horrible unbalance of the scientific world. As a girl into physics, that puts you into a very girl scarce community. Since science has been and still is predominately male you will have that very issue until somehow the male and female interests into science balances out. Take my typical electrical engineering class, 32 males 2 females, sometimes no females at all. That's quite a ratio, so when a girl gets into physics, or any of the major technical sciences, shes entering into male gauntlet of guys desiring companionship with a girl who might actually understand what they are talking about. Guess that makes you a rare gem, enjoy the attention, cause your going to get it.

You can message/email me anytime if you want to chat physics or tell a physics joke. I love answering questions about it (I'm a grad student in physics so I would hope by now I know what I'm talking about), and I won't ask if you have a webcam.

Hi. I don't think you were hit on by real science guys. But for the most part kids will be kids. Ignore them and they'll go away. Sort of like duality, don't you think?
