I am almost 38 weeks and have been having contractions. Nothing I can't handle yet, though. My baby is usually very active but since the contractions started his activity has slowed down. I do feel him, though. Just not nearly as much. I have 2 other children but I only labored with my first and I don't remember if her activity slowed down with labor. Any insight??

This Question should be taken very seriously because one wrong answer and you could think your baby is safe when he is not. Trust your instincts and call the doctor. That's what I would do anyway. Congratulations on your new baby.

The baby is getting bigger by the day and running out of wiggle room in there! So long as your kick counts (see link below) come out all right, your baby is probably fine.

As always, though, trust your instincts. If you are concerned, give your doctor a call. Remember, one of the doctor jobs is to listen to your concerns and address them!

Yes I think in most cases its does. My son was doing backflips and somersualts and then he just sort of relaxed.....my daughter never moved that much at all had me worried a lot but my son was a mover and a shaker...he just calmed down and then I started getting contractions..i think it was in the span of about a week.

Babies should move more during the end of the third trimester. Your baby might be getting too big for your stomach which prevents him/her to move more. At this time, your baby should be in labor position. Talk to your doctor and see if she/he can give you an explanation.

Slow down a little is normal.. there is not much room in there to wiggle around! However, if you feel siginificant reduced movement, go get checked.

i became consistently advised it decreases for the duration of exertions. conventional i became so frusterated thinking i does no longer go into exertions because of the fact she became merely as lively as ever. properly I did go into exertions and she or he stayed lively throughout the time of until close to the very end.
