Start doing 7-10 push ups
Do them properly - If it helps, do them from the knees rather than from the toes - but do them slowly ... slowly up (take a count of 5 elephants to go up) and then slowly down (take a count of 5 elephants to go down) - when you are down, don't sag onto the ground but hold yourself there (for another 5 elephants - 1 elephant, 2 elephants, 3 elephants, 4 elephants, 5 elephants).
You might find you can only do 5 of these
Also find a place where you can do chin ups
take up swimming
Eat well - lots of protein
You will find after some time ?1-2 weeks you will increase the number of push ups you can do - just a bit - to maybe 15
Keep going this way - slowly slowly
it doesn't matter if at first all you can do is 1 push up. Just persevere and build it up.
It takes time

Do as many pushups as you can force yourself to do at once (start with 10, if that's all you can do) two or three times a day. Once you've set a new limit, don't go back ... do that many or more the next time you do them.
If you're looking to build arm strength, dips are a good complement to push-ups. I usually do both in the same session.
Eat well (plenty of protein) while you're trying to build muscle. You'll be doing 100 push-ups at a time in just a few weeks.

to the gym and lift weights. If you have a problem motivating yourself or just need a little guidance, hire a personal trainer. You can also just keep doing push up's. Just do sets of 10 and then rest for 30 sec and do another 10.

Do 7-10, wait a bit and do more. do them in reps, instead of the 7-10 and leave. when you can't do any more, go to your knees and do 3-5 more. it will help, you may be sore for a few days, but it helps. do this regularly, daily or every other.

you need to just keep doing push ups and build up your stamina so that when you get to PE you can do more then 20. I was like you and I did this and now I can do about 60 push ups.

Start doing pushups from your knees instead of your toes. You'll build up strength gradually and eventually the 'normal' pushups will become easier.
