In the Wal-mart auto section (and at most parts stores) there is a yellow can called Tuff Stuff. Spray on, work in with a brush (you don't have to work it very hard) and wipe clean with a towel.
I've used the stuff for years removing coffee stains my husbands left behind.

I detail my husband's grandmothers car for her & grandpa has a hard time keeping coffee off the carpet & I have found "OxyMagic' to be the miracle cure. You can find it at wal-mart or Dollar General. Also, I have heard that WD-40 works well too. I know it works on adhesive materials.

There is a dual chambered Oxy type brand of cleaner that works wonders! You can find it in the carpet machine solution section of any walmart Kmart or target.
