I have brown almond eyes that are dark brown when there is little light, golden brown when there is a moderate to high amount of unnatural lighting and honey when in natural daylight. How can I fllatter them with eyemakeup? They are also almond shaped and I want to show that off too

I am gothic and I will never change my taste in makeup. I also have naturally blue black hair and fair skin with cool undertones.

Green brings out brown. So does pink or red. If you want to go the alternative route.
Annnnd.... Black eyeliner also makes the brown darker, line your eyes completely, on the inside of the lowerlid and the outside of the upperlid, thinly. A lot goes a long way.
And honey- or yellow is brought out by purple.
Look at the color wheel and find the color closest to that of your eyes, the color diagonal from it is it's complement which will bring the color out.

Use a combination of the colors using the color that will bring out the brown over the whole lid. Use the color to pull out the honey color in the crease above the lid.... and up to the brow try using a light grey or purple-- not too dark, you'll look like Mimi from the Drew Carey show.

But for a more conservative look try Almay "Bring out the Brown"
Just to make things easier.

I find that navy eye liner is very effective with all shades of brown eyes. If you just line the top and go out a little bit on the corners it makes the eyes seem bigger, and then apply 3 coats of mascara to just the top lashes.
Another technique is, liquid liner on the top, dont put any liner on the bottom lashes, and then apply mascara.
As for shadows, use golds, cappuccino and light browns, nothing dark because that will close up the eye.

i too have brown eyes. it sounds cheesy but BLUE is the color. IT is the opposite end of the color wheel and will really accentuate the brown. Ask any art student. I don't put it on my lids but i smoke it around the lash line. If you're scared of blue, start by trying a darker blue...closer to black. I have a nighttime color by MAC (electric eel) that I use sometimes and everyone always comments on my eye color when I wear it. Usually nobody notices otherwise. It's a dramatic color, so only for night. It also looks even better when you line the inner lash line with black and use "eel" smokily on the outside of the lash line.
