relationship with men. I lent my dad alot of money when i was 20 yrs old $10,000 he never fully paid me back and he took my truck away when I just put $7000 into it( I came home late one day ) so he took away my truck and he did lot of dishonest things, does that affect your relationship with men in the future and if so how does it it affect it,thanks.

It does have a impact on how you look and deal with men. How much is how much you let it? That and if the guys is just like your father or not.

Well I have read that girls who grow up without a father tend to be promiscous. Since they didn't get the approval and love from their father they seek it from men. As for your father being dishonest that could affect how you trust people. But I think you should just take each relationship and try not to put any expectations on it. See that person for who he is not who your dad was. You don't have to let your father's mistakes define your relationships!

Since you were 20 at the time, I don't think it did any real psychological damage. Most of that kind of damage happens when you're still growing up. Sounds like you just tried to help someone (doesn't matter that it was your father) and got screwed. That can make anyone less trusting afterwards.

By the time your are 20 the die is pretty well cast. BUT, having said that, it boggles the mind to think that he didn't do things when you were younger that might make you distrust people. If he did, indeed, do similar things when you were younger, it would appear you might have difficulty trusting people as a minimum.

it affects all my relationships where money is concerned: in other words, it'll be a cold day in h*** b4 i let u borrow let alone give, u anything. u're more than welcome to give me things, though.
