Yes they can, please be sure you find a rabbit savvy vet, some vets are unfamiliar with rabbits and unintentionally cause them harm. www.rabbit.org should have a list of vets in your area.

Sorry I had a friend who had a rabbit die because a vet gave him penicillin ( a big no-no with rabbits) so I try to get the word out there!

Yeah, most vets prefer to neuter rabbits rather than spay, but it wouldn't be a probem. Its a bit easier.

Yes! Call your local vet that deals with exotics they will be able to do this for you. and maybe go to the human society they can do it for you as well.
