very few people can say that they respected and loved wildlife and nature any more than steve did, what steve achieved in his life was to educate people about the nature and wild life that he so dearly loved, every thing he did helped people to understand things that they would never normally even consider, through steve another world was opened up to me and many like me, i am deeply shocked at this tragic accident and my sympathies go out to his family, he will be truly missed and the world of nature and wildlife will be worse of without him.

He was the Crocodile hunet not alligator. But, I think he did respect the wildlife as much as he could. He wasn't "hunting" them in order to kill them for the sport. He wanted to protect the wildlife and to educate everyone on these animals. What he did was dangerous and he knew it....no doubt about it. But he probably wouldn't have wanted to die any other way. He died doing what mde him happy. I'm sure they took precautions to a degree and hindsight is always 20/20. Deaths from stingrays are very rare they say. He probably had no reason that day to think anything would happen. It was a freak accident.

Well I just saw on the show Swamp People The one hunter has 30 days to fill 370 tags. So at average $150 per that's $55,500.. But these are guesses.. I am just using an average.

He was the "Crocodile" Hunter and he rode the razors edge testing Mother Nature so that the general public would be more educated about the world of animals..When he became an actor , he crossed the line..Sad

No he didnt. He did no harm what so ever to any animal. He respected nature and that is why people liked him. Yes he took risks but that was his nature. I have noticed that no matter what happens in the world there are people who are sick, disgusting, and pure mean. They got off making jokes about tragedy. I wonder how these people would feel when something horrible happens to them or someone they love??? Not saying you are, just stating a fact.

He was the "Crocodile Hunter"! And yes I think he did take too many risks, but he understood the animals he worked with better than we do. Look at all the things we, the general audience , know about animals that we didn't before his show.

It was rather amazing what he did - but seriously it was only a matter of time (in my mind) that something happened.

not at all, and i admire him because he died doing what he liked most: protecting wildlife and teaching others to do the same. i'd like to have such an honourable death myself.
