make them flow with the music. as the dance is something ur body moves , hands r a part of the body so y ignore them. make steps involving hands be innovative..... and relax it is just dance after all so enjoy it.

I put then on the strings and play them. I consider playing along to music with my guitar a form of dancing - my fingers "dance" on the fretboard - its a blast, and brings me joy.

totally depends on the genre, beat, etc.
