Of course there is a Easter Bunny. He's MY bunny! His real name is Rock-A-Bunny and he assumes the identity of my pet bunny throughout the rest of the year. And every Easter he morphs into the elusive, but oh so real, Easter Bunny.

Yep, I saw the easter bunny and his name was Peter. The cartoon and book adventures (a series of books) were written in 1948 after a real rabbit, Peter and they called him Peter Cottontail. His kin were named Flopsy and Mopsy and Cottontail, (http://www.sassycats.com/petercottontail.html) and I'm sure by now he has lots of family who work at the stores during Easter.

Hey, I had a toothfairy ...in those days fairies were also in the kitchen cupboards where the flower was ground. You could see them thru the glass door...and they were beautiful ladies iwith long hair in flowing dresses and fantastic looking wings and left you money (silver dollars) under your pillow for the tooth you left there when it fell out.

And there was too a Saint Nick. He was RC and I think he was from Holland where he left candy in the wooden shoes of the kids at Christmastime.

? ? ? ? :-)

Of course there is Easter Bunny. His name is Peter Cottontail and he bounces down the bunny trail.
He has a wife named Sally, she is nice. They like to visit me and we eat candy. Mr Brer Fox does not like Mr Peter Cottontail, but they get along ok.

NO! that is a tradition that some parents teach their children that has no basis in fact . the symbol of the rabbit has its orgins in Pagan fertility rites as does the holiday itself it comes from the Chaldeans and their worship of the pagan goddess astarte/aka the teutonic goddess of light and spring better known in anglo/saxon areas as eastre around the 8th century was renamed as a "christian " holiday in keeping with the churchs custom of "Christianizing pagan celebrations to draw more into the church" also the eggs also a symbol of fertility from pagan sex rites of fertility hope this clears it up Gorbalizer
