Look at the bigger picture...there is a plan and it has to do with Iran...it always has...there is a more likely chance that you would get shot in our nations capitol than get shot in Iraq...If we don't get them on their own soil...they will come and get us on ours...is this the fear your talking about...then I guess yeah...I agree..don't you hear what the president of Iran is saying? do you hear what the North Koreans are saying?...how about China...? or are you just looking at Iraq? No politician has done anything for the average american. They all rely on lies, fear, propaganda, mud-slinging, and pandering. That's why they are politicians. Do you think any of these people could ever make it if they had to actually work for a living?

It is fear. Bush says he doesn't care about bin Laden but now when elections are coming up he starts acting like bin Laden is a real threat. He has to get the fear out there so the voters will be afraid.

I'm waiting for an October surprise from him since he's accomplished absolutely nothing (except for getting our troops killed).

Maybe, or maybe just because fear works faster than reason and rationale. It works better than having to sit down and convince someone you can solve their problems since you can easily just blame those problems on something and make everyone afraid of it. It is much easier than actually figuring out what the real cause is and how to fix it to really make a better world to live in.

Of course they rely on fear. They rely on fear for many other things too, like making sure that we never decide we want anything other than oil to fuel our cars, make sure that we think global warming is a silly thing made up by communists, and make sure that we never ask any questions that can't be answered by a simple "yes" or "no" answer while waving an American flag.
