Forget the bogie part of the dream; its the snake part that's important. It can indicated deep emaotional concerns, so are you worried about someone or something?

Hey, i would agree with some of the other findings in that the nose can be phallus symbolic and therefore to do with sexuality or sex. Also snakes are symbolic of both sexuality and change and rebirth (skin shedding, hibernation, etc) kind of like the pupae, cocoon, butterfly. The snake is the same when it sheds its skin and has a beautiful new one underneath. The fact that you are pulling these things out yourself leads me to think that maybe there is something you need to change or want to change, or a part of you life that you have or want to let go of and begin afresh, anew. The fact that you find this repulsive in your dream is probably either because you are not quite ready for this transition yet or you are afraid of it.The reason for the snake being dead is most likely either that you have reached a point that you must change in which case the dead snake represents the dead or redundant thing that needs changing or that once again you are either mentally or physically unable or denying that change right now.I dont know if this is any help to you but i hope it helps and dont worry its actually a positive thing as far as i see it.

In dreams Freud describes the nose as a phallic symbol. your dreams remind me a bit of the Pinocchio story where the nose grows and he has no control over it, only in yours reptile forms are involved which seem to be long and slippery which you have no control over. There is common theme here just like the Pinocchio story. Because the nose represents a phallic symbol, are you having feeling guilt about sexual matters, or do you feel you are not being totally honest with yourself and others. Or, you can look at this from a different perspective, Are there people in your life you feel are nosey and are invading your privacy. In the dream there is a theme of you feeling invaded and being that these creatures are up your nose, seems kind of up close and personal to me. To close for comfort, or is there part of you that will not allow people to get to close to you?

Freud discovered a phenomenon in dreams called displacement which means that something that happens in, say, the upper part of your body in your dream it could really be indicating something happening in a lower part of your body. Symbolically, the mouth corresponds to the vagina and the nose corresponds to the penis.
Because we live in the conscious world we take everything literally when he are in the dream world, but the other characters there don't. This will sound strange (but so does your dream!), but the head of your penis is a feminine entity, because it is sensitive and receptive which are the essential feminine qualities.(My feminine entity there come to me in the form of a blonde girl.)
There are a whole group of beings that have triangular (pointed)
heads on their penises that go around having sex with these feminine entities that constitute the heads of penises.
What you have described seems to have happened to me, too.
What is happening here is not really bad, but and I can't be clear about this here, but its actually an integrating action in your inner world. Because all of us are literalists in the dream world you really experience all this stuff with regard to your nose.
I'v e recorded 1000's of dreams and being a literalist it took me several years before I realized what I was doing & then I become a symbolist, instead. There are things going on in the inner worlds that are so weird that I could never explain them to anybody 'out here.' They would think I was bananas. So I just shut up for the most part.

Wow ! judging by some of the answers you really got up some peoples noses this time.
Dreams, whilst we are asleep, are the drifting "aroma" of experiences and emotions that are "fermenting" away deeper even than our subconscious To analyse "the aroma" is rather like guessing the contents cooking in the pot
I would need to know a great deal more about you and your lifestyle.before venturing an opinion on the dream itself.
In any event, you take care, take some time out for yourself and choose your friends carefully!
Good luck

I wouldn't say I'm good at others dreams, normally my own. On one side it could be that you have a real distaste for buggers, on another side it could be you're clearing your head of some kind of junk metaphorically. Maybe you think your head is full of a lot morbid stuff (snakes, slugs) Of course I think a great deal differently than some people...so ?

If you haven't tried it, try dreammoods.com. There reference for nose mentions the possibility that you are butting in to people's business and need to stay out.

the boogers, I don't know....

However, snakes are known as sign of medicine, and seeing as you keep pulling them out of your nose, maybe your body is trying to tell you something. Also, slugs and leeches are related, and leeches are used in many medical proceedures as well. Seeing as they are coming out of you rnose, you may want to have your lungs examined, as well as your head ( I don't mean that in an offensive manner, either, just so you know.) However, keep in mind what these animals mean to you- if you are comfortable with them, maybe it's a good sign.

Since you have a couple books to help you interpret your dreams, I am sure I don't need to tell you what you already know about the conscious and unconcsiuos mind.

Your dream is not mad. It's not too bizzare either but you really need to watch what you sniff. The snake is a sign of real but cunning danger. A dead one in your nose is extreme danger. You have to pay more attention to that substance (whatever it is) that most frequently gets near your nose (no matter how harmless it seems). I am sure you are aware that dreams are either revelations of the spiritiual or mere creative inventions of the subconscious. A word is enough...

The nose is associated with breath and with the dreamers soul. To dream of a blocked nose can indicate spiritual or emotional problems. If your nose is an embarrassment, the dream mplies your self-conciousness about a current aspect of your personality or your situation,

Snakes and slugs mean compulsive use of life force or creative energy. You need to become attentive to how you are using your creative energy, moving from habit to reasoning with awareness. The reason it is coming from your nose is that it is suffocating you in your every day life. We can keep our mouths shut and still live but not our nose
