If they were the youngest of the family they probably do it because their mom did everything for them and that's how they view women-caretakers. I don't really know what to do about it other than trying to pass off some of the responsibilities you've taken on to the guy so he realizes how much you actually do.

A couple of reasons:

1. They were raised in a home where their dad was an a s s hole and they learned from him.

2. Their mothers allowed their a s s hole husband to treat them without respect and the son stood there with a stupid look on their face learning from mom and dad how men should treat women

3. Because YOU tolerate it. You probably (if this question deals with you) were attracted to your man because he was a rebel, he swore a lot, drove a neat car/truck, was tough, had cool tats, made you feel all tingly inside when he screwed you, and you never stopped to realize that he was actually an a s s hole. At the time all you wanted to do was make mom and dad angry so you stayed with him--now you are stuck. Guys treat girls the way girls want to be treated. If you don't tolerate it he will soon get angry and leave to find someone else he can walk all over.

Some men take advantage of their wife or g/f because they are allowed to get away with it. Although you weren't very specific, here's what I see from the male pov..
If somebody wants something, and knows that the other party will cave, with enough pressure, then, that's what's going to happen, massive pressure until somebody relents.
Once this pattern is set and the partner DOES cave, nothing's going to stop the first person from doing it over and over again.
The idea is to stand up for yourself whenever the other party tries to take advantage, or, foolishly, resign yourself to being a doormat.

men do this simply because the women allow it to happen.once a man knows he can do this that or the other he will continue to do so until his gf or wife puts a stop to it. remember we think simple and strait to the point if we think you like something a certen way and you don't tell us other we will continue doing the same thing. sorry but this is how most men think.

Because the women let them. They need to get some back bone and stand up for themselves. Real men know how to treat a lady. Thank God I found a real man.

Because they have very low self-esteem, and feel the need to control everything and everyone...there is not much you can do, a change needs to be made from the inside of that particular individual....sorry if it has happened to you or someone you know. Believe me even the best of us have been there!

Men take advantage of their wives or girlfriends, only if they allow them to do it. Women do the same thing to men.

because some women do not have enough self eestem to stand up for themselves..

i had an ex bf who took advantage of me.. at least he didn't appreciate me while we were together.. maybe i didn't appreciate him enough myself..

but either way i wasn't happy with the way things were.. and it took me a very long time to get the nerve to leave..

its hard to go.. but sometimes you have too

that's the nature of the group. it used to happen to me ALL THE TIME. but not anymore bcoz i don't deal with as*sholes any more. when it happened to me before i'd sometimes leave the person, or stay and be depressed 'til i can't handle it no more, or just be a coward and wait for 'em to decide to leave me alone. like i said, not anymore.

take a week off say go stay with your parents for a week and see what is his reaction. in your heart will tell if you need to move on or he truely loves you. i think you already know. but give him a chance give him a week break away from you. good luck,.
