He will have to be voted in as the new leader of the Labour Party.

In the UK, you don't vote for a prime minister. Each constituency votes for its MP; MPs are usually (but not always) members of a party. The party with the most MPs is in power, and the leader of that party automatically becomes prime minister.

If the party leader changes, that person automatically becomes the new prime minister.

don't get too upset. gordon will have to stand an internal election which he will probably win and become a PM without actually being voted into the post by the electorate.

John Major did the same in the early 1990s when Maggie got the boot.

This is the most sleaze ridden corrupt government for years. They will do what they want not what is right. The Labour party should vote for a new leader then call a general election.

No. It's up to the labour party to choose their leader. In a general election we don't vote for the prime minister, but for MPs.
