Contact your credit cards, or any creditor, turn off the utilities at your old address, turn them on at your new one. Contact the social security department in your state so that they can send you updates. Change your voter registration. Investment accounts, 401k, IRA, stock, pension, savings, mutual funds, health savings accounts all will require a change of address. Use the post office form to forward your mail. Make certain that any automatic payment accounts or monthly recurring accounts have the address change. Change your address with all of your insurances, disability, life, health, home, auto, and extended warranties. Discontinue any services at your old address, water delivery, alarm monitoring, internet, cable, landscaping, subscriptions, etc. This is also a good time to change all of your passwords on secure accounts.

Go to the post office and fill out a change of address form so your mail will be forwarded to your new address. Cancel your phone and electric and gas at your old address if you have to.

Going to the post office to do the change of address packet, alerting your insurance company of your move, changing your policies over to your new place if you have one. Making sure your bank is going to have a branch there.....hopefully your already all packed up and ready to go. Good Luck!
