Hell Yeah! The French Quarter is essentially up and running, especially Bourbon Street. Many of the city's bars are also open and live music offerings here are still more than most cities. Tonight I can choose from 3 or 4 live and local acts around town that I like.

The same goes for restaurants. Some have not come back but since it is almost impossible to get a bad meal here you can find a great dinner with no problem.

Summertime is always a bit slower since it gets so hot, but businesses are up and running. Come down and find out for yourselves!

I stay in a supburb of recent Orleans referred to as Metairie. If the levee had broken on the different area of the canal, i could have been flooded completly. I have been given fortunate. formally, that's the accountability of the folk to get out of how of a hurricane. Is it the accountability of the government to get autos out of how of the rushing trains? the government can and could purely do what it could to guard its human beings. Now that being mentioned, it became the Corps of Engineers who have been thoroughly in charge for St. Bernard flooding. The MRGO became, is, and could be the only reason for that parish being destroyed. that's a very unneeded waterway the corp outfitted and is now going to be closed on the taxpayer's cost. As for the destruction of recent Orleans, no it became no longer all the hurricane's fault. It became back the Corps of Engineers, New Orleans Levee Board, and the present and previous mayors of recent Orleans. The corps built levees alongside canals, yet used lesser supplies to do the interest and did no longer shop on with the ideas of the 0.33 party engineers. The Levee Board grew to become a politically appointed interest that no person listened to. they could discover issues contained in the levees and checklist them to the corps, yet neither ought to restoration the themes devoid of the mayors spending the money to realize this or procuring the money from the feds to restoration the themes. It became a fiasco. And as for why New Orleans became so impoverished, I even have suggested that until now. It became the White Flight that began below the Moon Landrieu administration and the criminal events of the administrations because. isn't Marc Morial being investigated now in Washington D. C.?

You could still party in New Orleans if it were hit by a nuclear bomb. If the world ended, there would be people partying in New Orleans. So, yes you can.

bourbon street is still the same party, party, party. there are parts of the city that need to be torn down and rebuilt still even after a year. but for the most part the people that are willing to work are rebuilding, and the ones that choose to sit and collect as much as they can from welfare oh-well.

I'm sure. That's what that area is generally known for. Check under the highway overpasses, unless there's people floating out from under them.
