These are the ones that have been mentioned. Not all are under contract for Cup right now.

Stephen Leicht, #88? (It is sure that he won't run Cup in 2007)

?Bill Lester, #23? (Don't know. This team did sign Jeremy Mayfield, so not likely)

Paul Menard, #15 [unless he runs over 7 races in 2006]

Juan Pablo Montoya, #42

Todd Kluever, #6 - still planned (Recent talk is that he is not ready, so not sure what will happen)

Jon Wood, #47/#21 (Recent news says that is Cup plans have been put on hold.

It doesn't look like there will be much of a Rookie class in 2007. Of course, a lot can happen between now and then were new drivers get signed.

Denny Hamlin cannot be a rookie in 2007 as he is a rookie in the 2006 rookie class. He has gone over the limit of races so he will not and cannot be a rookie next season. Denny will win the Rookie Of The Year award for this season as he as running away with that award.

As for the 2007 season, the rookies will be:
Paul Menard
Juan Pablo Montoya

First off Denny Hamlin cannot be the ROY in 2007. He will be the ROY in 06 however. David Gilliland has lost his elegibility this season also.

As good a driver as Bill Lester is I don't think he's a candidate. Jon Wood is so so and Todd Kluever has no chance. That pretty well leaves Juan Pablo Montoya and Paul Menard. With Montoya just coming from open wheel and having no real stock car experience. I think (IMO) that Paul Menard will be the 2007 ROY.

You're asking who will be a rookie next year right? well all the people everyone named above are rookie's THIS year, and you can't be a rookie 2 years in a row.....and Gilliland lost his rookie points etc when he moved to the 38 team.

Well, it looks like Todd Kluever probably will be afterall, and at this point i'm really not sure who else. Todd Kluever wasn't going to be, b/c Jack Roush wanted Mark to come back in the 6. Mark said NO.....he said he would only be willing to drive it part time at the tracks the trucks run at/round.....Jack Roush wouldn't agree to that, so looks like Kluever will moret han likely be in the 6 after all.

Officially..noone yet.

David Gilliland is making too many starts this year to qualify for rookie status, and the rest of the guys.. i/e Todd Kluever, Paul Menard, Steven Leicht are all rumors right now. Noone is officially in a seat with rookie status yet. I'm sure there will be a pretty big group..but we have yet to see for sure.
