There are many brave Americans willing to stand up for us. Many are currently fighting Alqeada in Afghanistan and Iraq. Do not look for them on television or in the news though, the liberal press will only interview the few disgruntled soldiers they can find. They never interview the soldiers (in the majority) that re-enlist and believe what they are fighting for. They also tend to ignore the fact that the armed forces voted (overwhelmingly) for Bush.
P.S. Bush deathgrip: love your avitar, do you have one with Clinton doing what he did to Monica? Probably a much better definition of sexual harassment (using the most powerful office in the world to seduce an INTERN, then deny the seduction until the inter provides, er, ah, evidence)?

Because 1/2 the country is brainwashed, and the neo-cons (as a political force) have already won the LOYALTY of the majority of our law enforcement and military (versus their loyalty to US civilians). The mis-named Patriot Act also redefined what constitutes terrorism or a national threat to be much broader, infringing on our rights to free speech, and gave our government the right to basically imprison us as political prisoners. Until the brainwashed 1/2 wakes up, there's not much effect the rest of us can have. My guess it that at some point, either Bush or his neo-con predecessor will go just a bit to far, and then all of America will finally rise up...hopefully not too late.
Beware of the neo-cons...it's a HUGE mistake to think they are Republicans. They are a force, a power, unto themselves. Even Clinton passed a lot of legislation that made it easier for Bush to enact the changes in our country that he did.

I do not know, but I do know that we are lucky to be living here in the USA. I have a son-in law that has served 2 tours of duty in Iraq, daughter his wife was in Kosovo, and niece's husband is in Iraq right now. Brother has served 28 years in Marines, husband served in Navy...I believe in our country. We need to stop complaining and be thankful.

Because they don't know what to stand up for. They don't know what it's like outside the U.S. We live great lives because of our freedom and respect of human rights. These people dont understand why this is so good

Its the same all over the world, but i understand why. I'm a brit and i hate tony blair, i voted to get him out and he didn't go, beyond that theres nothing i can do. I get really frustrated when i hear people complain but they didn't even vote, in my eyes they gave up their right to an opinion when they refused to have their say.
