I say go for it. I fail to see how two people of the same sex being married will affect my day to day life or how I raise my children.

I feel sorry for the people here who answered that gay marriages are wrong or nasty or whatever and i also would like to know who made them the authority on what is normal and what's not, it's all organized religion bullshit, no one has the right to tell another person what is right this world is full of hypocrites and i believe anybody can do whatever makes them happy to me the only wrong thing to do is killing and not even, because some people sure deserve it, the only thing you are really forced to do in life is die so for all the gays outhere, LIVE IT UP, DON'T GIVE A **** ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE THEY ARE JUST NARROW MINDED ASSHOLES WHO DON'T HAVE ANYTHING BETTER TO DO THEN GET ON OTHER PEOPLE'S BUSSINESS AND WHO ARE ONLY AFRAID OF LIVING IN A WORLD WHERE PEOPLE ARE NOT AFRAID TO BE THEMSELVES

Yes, the way you express your love with your significant other is no ones business but yours. I fail to see how a gay couple forming a bond or union is a threat to my marriage or my children.

My best friends just celebrated their commitment ceremony, and I am so blessed to have them in my life. They have always treated me and my husband as if we were family. They are the most loving, tolerant, and understanding people I have ever had the privilege to know. I am proud that my son has so many different examples of love, life, and understanding to learn from, it will make him a better person....unlike the closed minded bigots and homophobes that are replying to this forum.

I say we all deserve the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

In terms of Holy Matrimony, no. But in terms of same-sex partners having civil and legal rights and power of attorney between each other, yes. No one should be denied civil rights based on their sexuality, the same way black people should not have been denied civil rights generations ago. Gays and lesbians should be allowed to civil unions, with the rights and privelages of a hetorosexual couple. If you plan on being someone's partner for life, you should have some say so over their affairs in the event they can't themselves.

Biggots and homophobes, feel free to send hate mail. I'll even read it.

For sure, I don't know why anyone cares. Two people love each other. Gay marriage doesn't effect your life does it? You might as well say interracial marriage is wrong or interfaith marriage is wrong.........

To each his own. It doesn't affect me or my marriage one way or the other.
