Any tips on getting water out of the bottom of an above ground pool? There is about 6 inches of water left in the bottom. The drain plugs on each side of the pool are too high for the water at this level to drain out. Last time we had to bail with buckets and use a mop to clean it out. Anybody come up with an easier way?

No need to buy a submesible pump. They are avaliable for rent at any tool Rental place for quite cheap. Buying a decent one will set you back over 100 bucks. The better ones will be able to drain it down to about 1/4 of an inch and the discharge hooks up to a standard garden hose. By the sounds of this, it's an easy set type pool. Be careful transporting it to storage.

Most hardware stores will carry a small submersible pump you can use. It sits on the bottom of the pool and it will pump all the water out.

Use suction with a long hose that is at the bottom of the pool at one end and at the bottom of a hill at the other end. Just suck on the hose downhill, pinch it, & let it go on the ground to make the water start to flow out of your pool.
