What is the penalty for doing that? Has anyone ever gone to jail because of that?

Yes , cut those sucker right off as soon as I got them home. I don't think its illegal if you own the thing.

The Seller is required to Tag their mattresses for its Contents and material types. Once purchased the Owner may remove, or not , without breaking any laws!

My uncle did ten years hard time in Leavenworth prison for removing those tags! He started young, and hung out with the "wrong" crowd of tag-removing punks. He got caught, and paid the price.

The terms of his parole says he must stay away from all new upholstery for the next five years.

The label is intended for the store, not for the consumer. Rip it off, you don't need it.

Im zaikee13 No because you can rip it off if you bought it or its yours only if you are like delivering it and it isnt yours

That tag is for the seller. Once you buy it, you can do what you want with it.
