Our world standing was such that international cooperation prevented many terrorist attacks on Clinton's watch. The perpetrators of the first WTC bombing were caught and tried. Tim McVeigh was caught and tried.
What is Bush doing? You mean fighting in Iraq? How is that preventing any terrorism? Do you mean the Taliban getting back into Afghanistan and the newly cut deal that gave amnesty to Osama Bin Laden because the Afghans can't fight in the tribal lands without our help and our troops are in the wrong damn country? How does Bin Laden walking give us any more security?
The largest terrorist attack in our nation's history happened on BUSH'S WATCH. 3000+ died in a terrorist attack ON BUSH'S WATCH. That's a great terrorism fighter? It's been 6 years- you really need to stop blaming Clinton for how screwed up your boy has made things.

Mr. Clinton. As already said; arrest warrant, 6 cruise missiles, and very little else. ABC would of never made the documentary unless they got "true" facts from former CIA Field Operatives and SF guys. It is so true in reference to the part of Sandy Berger at the CIA Operations Cell, and the CIA Operatives in Afghanistan.
They had Osama bin Laden surrounded, and his bodyguards had no clue that they were surrounded. When the CIA Senior Officer called on the SAT Phone he told Mr. Berger that had Osama bin Laden surrounded and ready to move in on orders. Mr. Berger gave a 5 minute Humm, wait, Hummm, wait...Uh...I don't have the authority to give you a green light. I don't care, I knew some of the CIA guys, of course there no longer in the CIA because they quit after that. People need to read just 2 books:
Ghost Wars by Steve Coll
Imperial Hubris by Anonymous
This stuff was out several years ago, and no one listened.

The age of some of the posters really show through.
http://edition.cnn.com/US/9607/30/clinton.terrorism/
Interesting that Repubs fought many of the actions that would later get thrown in the Patriot Act.
http://www.snopes.com/rumors/clinton.htm
Yes. Lets talk about "getting facts right"
http://www.cnsnews.com/InDepth/archive/199808/IND19980820o.html
Sitting around doing nothing.
http://www.epic.org/privacy/terrorism/WH_fact_sheet_10_96.html
Again...sitting around doing nothing.
I doubt anybody will actually look to see what was done but will just use this opportunity to throw out their already deeply ingrained beliefs...whether right or wrong or easily researched.
And what has Bush done to get Osama?
He invaded Afghanistan at the cost of BILLIONS and countless lives and lacking any form of coherent strategy. He never did find the confessed architect of the very act you all loath so much, yet Bush is doing more? Bush invades a second country completely unrelated to 9/11, pulling out a vast number of our troops sent to search for the known mastermind, and Bush is still doing more?
Your self delusion is mind-boggling.

Expecting another "I dont think for myself I let right-wing talk radio do the thinking for me" answer?
Not here.
Clinton poured millions of dollars into enhancing national security.
Not the most perfect thing in the world, but certainly a lot better than Bush invading a country unrelated to 9-11,turning this country into the world's biggest debtor, and beligerently sticking with policies that have increased terrorist cells and Anti-American sentiment.
See what wonderful things can happen when you turn facist American radio off and actually THINK?
And its pathetic how you think Clinton Bashing will salvage part of the November 2006 Republican freefall.

The News media Moguls had not named it terrorism at that time. Clinton was dealing with Anti American Muslim extremists.
The big problem was in the labeling. Because we have that freedom of religion thing reporters could not say Muslim.
Thank God that someone was smart enough to call Muslims terrorists.

Had sex with as many women as possible...jk.
Clinton had pretty good international relations so maybe he didn't need to as much, who's to say...I know this stuff has been brewing for a while but I think it usually rears its head during Republican administrations.
If you think that Bush is good, you should see what Margaret Thatcher did to fight terrorism in England- that was one tough old broad...

Terrorism wasn;t as much as an issue back then, definately not to the extreme it is today. Infact during the whole of Clinton's reign there were very few acts of terrorism against the US. The majority of the world i believe started to warm up to Clinton despite his sexual encounter - something which still annoys me. Millions of dollars were spent on this and he almost lost his presedancy - yet bush has lied (fact) about Iraq, about weapons of mass destruction, about many things surround 9/11 and has broken more promises regarding legeslation than than any other president.
Infact, with regards to clinton vs terrorism i do remember him nearly killing Osama via an air assault.

Although terrorism has been an enormous issue since the 70s...the attacks on Olympic Village, the taking of American hostages in 1980 (supposedly current pres. of Iran was one of those kidnappers), the Lockerbee bombing, the red brigade bombing of a US air base in the 80s.
Clinton - catered to Hezbullah,
He reinstated Lebanon and protected Syria,
He allowed India to produce nuclear weapons against
UN agreement to end nuclear proliferation,
He fostered discord between Greater Britain and the IRA
oh...
I'm sorry I didn't answer your question...
Clinton didn't do a thing to fight terrorism.
