The primary difference is texture. Butter is soft, creamy texture is like dense whipped butter. The Balm is extremely thick with a rich, lubricating feel. Both products are excellent for addressing the needs of dry to extremely dehydrated skin such as dry, cracked heels, ragged cuticles, rough elbows or knees. Try avoiding products formulatted with animal products or by products and avoid mineral oil... that is why I use Arbonne (botanically based products) and now they have their holiday collection : luxurious almond ... Luxurious Almond™ Body Velvet
This winter, shield yourself with vital moisturizers that leave your skin feeling refreshed and radiant. This ultra-hydrating blend gently softens and soothes skin.....just great !!!! Also check out their Mandarin Cashmere collection.... i buy them online at: http://arbonnepuertorico.myarbonne.com
