As long as our INDIAN economy remains agri based our farmers need not worry
The primary areas which a farmer has to be aware of,
No 01 -- Middle men or brokers
No 02 -- Money lenders with exorbitant interest rates
No 03 -- Spurious seeds , fertilisers and pesticides
No 04 -- Politicians who are using them as vote banks by promising every thing under the sun where as in practise cheating them by not informing of their rights.
When a farmer is educated in the above points he automatically becomes a progressive farmer.
And the presence of at least one progressive farmer in each village as a role model for others to follow is what is needed to day
And this was the vision our leaders like Gandhi and Shastry visualised when they talked about farmers.
