We adopted 4 kids and when we got them they were in preK, K, 1st and 2nd grade. All 3 of the older ones flipped their letters. I was worried, but they told me that I should expect it a lot in K, a little less in 1st and some in 2nd. At the end of 2nd grade they stopped flipping them.
If she continues to do it and it does not seem to decrease then I would look into it. Her teacher also knows what to look for and what is abnormal. Don't worry; 26 letters is a lot to learn! And of course each has 2 ways; capital and lower case so that doubles to amount! Not to mention the numbers... keep an eye on her, but I think she will be fine.

This is just a part of the natural learning process. She will most likely mature a bit more and begin to write things more correctly within the next year or so. Some children of this age have not even begun to write any letters at all at this time. Relax and just work with her, with repetition she will be fine. Don't stress about this, or she will pick up on your stress; and that is not helpful to either of you. Good luck to you both and have a good day!

Those are letter reversals and it is totally normal at that stage of development. She should grow out of it in a year or two. Just remember not to scold but gently show her the correct way. Enjoy these last few years of innocence with her- It will get more hectic before you know it as she gets older.

This is completely normal. If your kindergartner didn't do this it would be more irregular. By 1st grade, all the letters should be forward.
Looking at some of my kindergarten papers, I did this and I'm not dyslexic at all. My neice flips the y's in her name, Taylor.

She is only 5. Flipping numbers and letters is
normal. Just have her keep practicing. She'll get it.
If, after age 7, she is still flipping letters and
numbers you might want her tested.

My son did the same thing in Kindergarten, I talked to the teacher about it. She told me that it's common, once they learn more they will remember. Don't scold her, just help her if she writes them backwards. haha I know adults that sometimes get their left and right mixed up. It's nothing to worry about. She's doing fine.

Completely normal, you did it too when you were a kid, and it'll go away with gentle reminders.
