Folks just happen to respond better to branding. Your name can say a lot for your business and in some cases even draw business to you. If you are serious about your business and it is more than just a hobby...I would recommend that you come up with a name that people can not only remember, but captures the essence of your business. Keep in mind that you may have to come up with 5 to 10 or more names because their may be a business already out there with the same name and you will not be allowed to use it. Be creative.

It's not just the name of the company that is important. It's the Brand. You want people remember you.
If your selling diapers, you want the people that your brand came in his main as Pampers. Or if you are selling burgers you want people that think of you like McDonald's.
If you don't have a brand and a company name it wont happen.

You don't need to, but advertising purposes it sounds good. Plus if you're going to filing for taxes then you'll have name your business something so you can report the income/loss.
