Most colleges will publish their plagairism policies in the student handbook. Sometimes these handbooks are available online through the college. Also, the English department (or other departmental websites) may have statements of policy. Another resoures is to ask a professor or the college's writing center about plagarism.

Check the website for the college in question. Many have their catalog availalb eto view online. Policies like this one will be covered. I am sure you will find there is a pretty strict regulation regarding this topic. Class failure being the least of it. Suspension and possible expulsion likely as well.

Most colleges have zero-tolerance policy on plagiarism. To get a copy, just call the college in question.
