I have two sons my eldest has the middle name Daniel James (Daniel is my dad's first name and James is my FIL's first name) my youngest has the middle name Robert Russell (Robert is my husband's first name and Russell is my step dad's middle name) if you really want to use both then do it. If you don't like the way that Denny (is that short for Dennis?) Michael or Michael Denny sounds with the first name that you have picked out then another option would be to look at their middle names or even your wife's maiden name as a way to honor both.

First of all... Congratulations! A son (any child period) is such a blessing!
As far as the names... I'm assuming you already have a first name picked out so that you can't do Dennis(y) Michael or vice versa.
You could always consider just having 2 middle names. Lots of cultures have multiple middle names to honor both sides of the family. Or, if you are religious and follow a faith that has a confirmation, you could save one of the names for a confirmation name.
One combination I could think of is Dael (you could pronounce it Dale, but it would have the beginning of your Dad's name and the end of your wife's dad's name.)
Good luck.

what about Demitri? not exactly a mix of the two, but you do get some of each name in it (the De from Denny and the Mi from Michael)
or you could give him both (I know a lot of people who have done this) or hyphenate the two for a middle name

Why not just give the boy his own name and leave the dads names out completly but if you want to combine the ywo you could try these:
Demicheal, Demarcus or Denman (English for the Valley)
I can't think of any name that works in the combo starting with Michael.

This is an easy one for me. My wife was born in Germany and was given both her grandmothers names, and the name of a favorite aunt. In all, my wife has 5 names, her first name, three middle names, and now my last name. Her mom even suggested that she keep her maden name as well, of course I wasn't going for that, saying her name would have been like saying a sentence . My children have two middle names. Get away from the norm, step ot of the "name" box and give him two middle names! Make both of your dads happy!

How about Daniel it partially sounds like both of them & it's a nice name. By mixing the 2 names u get Denael which after enhancement will turn into Daniel.I think u should go for it & congrats in advance!

Just make his first name a "two-name", name! Call him "Michael-Dennis" or "Dennis-Michael"........... while I like Michael as a first name better, I think "Dennis-Michael" sounds better if you are going to call him two names as his first name.
If you want to mix the two names, how about Denael (den-ale)? Not bad and doesn't sound too made-up! OR you could just him two middle names.......... all three of my kids have two "legal" middle names.

If the first name is from one family, use the other side for the middle name. Denny is usually Dennis isn't it? use what flows...
