There is no doubt that the number one place to visit, Is The Motor Museum, in Beaulieu Hampshire. This museum has been going for many years, and has vehicles from the 1800's. It also has a stately home the residence of Lord Montague. It is situated in the New Forest just west of Southampton. You will need a full day to cover this Museum. It also has a section on motor cycles

Definitely Beaulieu. Great setting in the New Forest, plenty of other activities, monorail to take you around and some really historic cars, such as Bluebird, Outspan Orange, etc.

You can take as much time or as little time as you like, plus there is the stately home to visit, for those who like such things.

Have been many times and keep going back, even though I'm not a car buff.

The National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, Hampshire. Have a look at www.beaulieu.co.uk for info. Also, if you have small children, the Cotswold Motor Museum in Bourton-on-the-Water in Gloucestershire is good as it's the home of T.V.'s 'Brum'. Go to www.cotswold-motor-museum.com for info.

By far the Transport Museum in Coventry is the best in the UK. It is newly refurbished and very informative with many rare or one off cars. It is free to get in and the staff are very helpful, if you have any questions.

i'd have to say the Transport Museum in Coventry. It has one of the largest collections in Britain as well as housing the worlds fastest vehicle 'Thrust 2'. Well worth a visit.
Also Coventry residents get in free.
