No there is no reason to hold back from a second cousin. The only reason there is a taboo on first cousins is because the genetic pool may be too alike and cause problems with children inheriting genetic illnesses or defects. My first cousin and I were in love but had to go our separate ways instead of going for it because of the genetic chances but I sure wish he had been a second cousin. GO FOR IT!

If you are asking if this constitutes incest--again, a matter of opinion.
If you are asking if any babies resulting will be deformed--the odds are the same as with any other two people sleeping together (unless your family has a genetic time bomb in the code, like tay sachs or hemophilia).

I heard that the relation is still strong and doesn't thin out until the 5th cousin......don't know how true that is, all in all a cousin is still a cousin
