INDIRA GANDHI WAS THE BEST PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA. IN HER DAYS COUNTRY PROGRESSED LOTS IN THE FIELDS OF BANKING AND SHE GAVE 20 POINTS PROGRAMME FOR THE POOR PEOPLE. ALSO WE HAD WON THE WAR AGAINST PAKISTAN IN 1971 . SHE USED TO KEEPS HER VIEWS IN OPEN WAY IN THE BIGGEST ORGANISATION OF WORLD UNO.

Everybody has an opinion. Whether it is a political or not. No person can match any other person. It will be unfair to compare Sonia Gandhi to Indira Gandhi. They both have their plus and minus points. Both are loved by many and hated by many. Their sons are also loved by many and hated by many. Best thing is to leave them alone and let history judge them.

no as her policies had india back by 50 years otherwise whatever economy we r opening 2day if she has adopted then india would have been far ahead. rajiv gandhi in a sense was the best prime minister india ever had

No, she was pretty bad. Forced sterilizations, the "emergency," meddling in Sri Lanka - the list goes on. In fact, I can't think of one good prime minister except possibly the current one.

Yes.
She was good but the policies of congress are not good. The policies of congress is only to get votes. They have not done much for minorities but will project as if its they only who can protect them. I am not to support any party but i would like to say that in the regime of NDA when Atal bihari Vajpayee was the prime minister our conutry was doing and progressing much better than in congress rule.

No she was not. she was always scared of the unknown. had no vision for the country. did not understand the economy. but she was perceived as a strong leader. she held India stagnant for nearly two decades.
