Me and my friend are going to start playing and I have never played before in my life. Do you have any tips that would help? I have always been interested in the sport and I want to learn how to play.

Go down to your local park and play with your friends watch the players and the slow mos and instant replays and get books and mags that show you step by step. That's the cheapest way.

But if you really want to go all out join a tennis club and get a coach you'll improve at a faster rate too.

Good luck, tennis is one of he best sports out there.

Tennis is awesome to play - just keep playing, practising and building up your knowledge of the game + the best way that YOU can play it

Also, never be afraid to play someone who is at a higher level of play than you. When I was a beginner I improved alot when just trying to keep up remotely close with much better players [who I now beat on the regular]

Have fun !

I'm almost 15, I started when I was 13 and I play in challenges now. So never too late. Just keep faith and really enjoy tennis. You really wanted to, you could become professional by about 24 years. No later.

First, you watch some tennis on tv and then go and find someone who can't play and try to beat them. That will get the competitive side of you going. If you happen to lose... then lie about it... it will help. After that watch more tennis on tv because it's cheaper.. mimic them. That's all you need to know about tennis... besides the scoring. love, 15, 30, 40, duce.

I'm a nationally certified Tennis Instructor, so I feel very well-qualified to answer your question.

Take PRIVATE tennis lessons often. Avoid group tennis lessons because you'll never get the individual attention you need to progress quickly.

The best way is to play with a pro couple of times to ensure that youhave the right technique. After that just play.
