I am 6.5 weeks along and am starting to get queasy. I am curious: when in your pregnancy did you first get morning sickness and at what point did it stop? Thank you!

I got it at 6 weeks and 1 day, and it ended at 32 weeks. I had to be admitted to hospital 6 times during my pregnancy as I was spewing up 24 hours a day and couldn't keep anything down at all.
If you get acid reflux, have a glass of milk before you lie down at night. For the nausea, try ginger, acupuncture, and dry food like toast, crackers etc. Also, the one thing that is a total fail safe is marijuana, well they give it to cancer patients! I don't know how you feel about that but seriously, it works like magic. The only problem is it makes you tired. I hate the stuff, but I will give it the credit that it really does take away all nausea and vomiting.

Usually the "morning" sickness lasts until 14 weeks. And it doesn't have anything to do with hCG as I kept getting negative pregnancy tests until I was almost due for my second period (i.e- I had very low hCG levels) but I was pregnant at that time and I had the morning sickness too.

Try to keep your blood sugar levels up as that can cause nausea too. Try to eat as soon as you can in the morning to head it off. Work out what triggers you off and avoid those things (usually certain smells etc.)

Good Luck, and I'm sure it'll wear off within the first trimester.

I had real bad morning sickness the first 3 1/2 months of my pregnancy...It was horrible to tell you the truth, i was feelin nauseous all the time and votmiting everyday. I was also feeling very tired all the time and didnt even feel like getting up from bed. It hit me really hard but after my 4th month it went away and ive been doing sooo much better and enjoying my pregnancy. I get nauseous every once in a while but nothing compare to my first 3 months. Good luck to you!!!

Sad to say but, I first got morning sickness when i was 4 1/2 months pregnant and i didnt stop until i was 8 months pregnant. I actually had to get medication from the doctor just so I could eat. It was that severe! I hope you have a better time than I did.

hi there
each pregnnacy is different, many women will experience nausea in the 1st trimester of pregnancy & then it stops - yey... although its nicknamed morning sickness, it can occour at any time of the day - usually during the same sort of hours.

with my 1st baby i has nausea for about 3 weeks during my 1st trimester & then it stopped. i cant remember exactly when as i didnt even know i was pregnant at the time & only realised what it must have been when i finally found out i was pregnant in my 3rd month. with babys 2 & 3 i had nothing, but with baby 4 i had sickness all the way though - it started during weeks 4-5. in the 1st trimester it was really bad & would last all day even when i had nothing left to throw up, but after that i graduated to only having it in the evenings. yuck. i hope that you dont suffer for long.

ginger is said to ease sickness. eat a ginger biscuit before you get up inthe mornings & you can also wear the travel sickness bands on your wrists... the exhaustion generally passes after the 3rd month to leave you feeling great in the middle 3 months & then you get exhausted again at th end when you get too big.
congratulations on your pregnancy & i hope that it all goes well for you.

It is usually depends on the HCG hormonelevel in your body. It usually rises the first 3 months in pregnancy and then begins to fall as pregnancy progresses. However feeling sick can last throughout your pregnancy. Some things that may help are ginger tea or crystals or taking b6 vitamins. If you eat saltine crackers before you get out of bed or toast this will usually help for the rest of the day.

I didnt have it much at all. I had some nausea, mostly in the morning, after breakfeast. But i only actually got sick twice. The first time at almost 9 weeks, and the second time was early in my 2nd trimester...maybe around like 15 weeks.

It is definatly not fun and I feel soo sorry for anyone who gets sick everyday. Good Luck!

With my son I was about 6 weeks like you, and unfortunately it lasted the whole time! With my daughter I started getting sick a couple of weeks into it, and only lasted until I was about 3 months along. Good luck, I hope you feel better soon!

I got morning noon and night sickness ... from the time I found out till I had my son! It sucked!! but every person is different! So you might get lucky and only have it for a few months. Everyone told me it would go away my the second trimester but that never happened! So Good Luck!

You're gonna hate me for saying this, but it all depends.

My mother had morning sickness for the last eight of the nine months she was pregnant with my oldest sister. But my boyfriends sister- in- law, although queasy, hasn't actually been sick at all, and my sister never had it!

There are a number of reasons why you do or don't get it, but basically, it's 'wait and see'.

Sorry I couldn't be any more help.
