If she were to say, blow a hole in your head with a Saturday night special, that would be what everyone noticed when you walked into the charity ball. not her black eye. Suggest it to her!

What? You beat up your wife and then go to a charity ball? I can't believe the Hypocrisy. It is as if you are like, you think you can be a total pig at home and then go to some hoittie toitie charity ball and everyone will forgive you. I sure hope that the charity is not for womens issues or something- that would be even sicker.

Hi! Are you talking about very dark circles under her eyes? If so, I understand what you are talking about. It is caused sometimes by medications, illness, stress, lack of sleep, etc. She can go to the make-up counter at a department store and ask them to show her some "under eye correcter". She can use this under the eyes before she puts her makeup on and it will cover those dark circles, or at least help enough to not be so obvious. Please don't make her feel self-conscious about this. If she feels you don't even want to see her like that, she may not even want to go to the ball with you. There is makeup help for it and a really good one will cover it up for the most part. The reason I suggest the high end department store brands like "Lancome" is because the makeup artists there can show her how to apply it in order to cover it up well. Another idea would be for you to surprise her by setting up a spa day for her the day of the ball with full treatment including message, hair, nails, and makeup. That way she'll come out feeling on top of the world. Set it up ahead of time and surprise her! Tell her you love her so much that you wanted to do something for her! I hope this helps. :-)
