Your local flying school won't be able to help you with that. You need to get into the training school that NASA runs. Most commanders of space shuttle missions have their PhD...that would be a good place for you to start.

Qualifying as a pilot requires vast amounts of flying time & it's very unlikely your local flying school can do anything except get you started on the path.
Check the NASA website - they DO specify qualifications (I looked up what it would take to be a Mission Specialist).

firstly at school there is a shuttle proficiency test, then there you need a provisonal licence then you just need to do a quick flight round the moon ad you can then fly by yourself
