The building, power, water, maintenance...all paid for by USA taxpayer dollars...and NYC absorbs most of the unpaid traffic and parking violations handed out to the 'dip'lomats of the UN.

May it is time to let the UN go to France or Mexico or some other place.

It is paid from the UN budget which is supplied by all the UN members! And for US citizens information: US is the main contributor 21 or 22% but look at number 2 Japan which contributes 19%!!!
So please stop complaining that you pay for it. Do you know how much money UNHQ brings to NY economy - A LOT! Thousands of international employees/ staff members/ affiliates spend their money here in NY. Do you think the UN does not pay for electricity, heating, water, etc?!? Do you know how many hundreds of thousands of tourist come to visit the UN and spend their money in the local economy (food, tickets, taxis, hotel, etc.)
By the way the UN annual budget is smaller than the NYPD or NYFD annual budget!!!!!

They should be sent packing . Why should be pay them extra for Squatting in the U.S. free for all these decades? They've never done anything to benefit anybody but themselves. We could better use the land and would be well rid of them. They are funded by terrorists and anti-American factions and send their insurgent rebels to sit in OUR COUNTRY at OUR EXPENSE! TIME TO THROW THEM OUT.

The USA. As far as I am concerned it is a waste of time and money. The UN is just more elite snobs talking about the world's problems and doing nothing about them.
