My husband bought me my favorite wine and all of a sudden the smell of it makes me cringe. Why is that???

Your taste buds are constantly regenerating. There are many reasons for the differences in taste. Age, smoking, and even burning your tongue can cause the loss of some taste buds. You may get the taste back or you may just have to find a new wine.

Had this happen to me - suddenly there were many foods I loved that no longer tasted or smelled good. I'd had a high fever and don't know if this had anything to do with it, but it took many months for me to get it back. One of my fav things - coffee - I couldn't drink anymore or stand the smell of.
Thankfully most things are back to normal.

Could you be pregnant? Sometimes if you're expecting your taste-buds will change. If not I have heard that some people's taste buds just change for no real reason. Are you taking any new medication or vitamins? Good Luck!

Youve just changed. It happens. I used to love certain wines and now cant stand them. Any of them, cant drink wine at all now. Ive just lost my taste for it. Its normal with age and our preferences. Im a margerita drinker now.

Maybe you just got a bad bottle. The smell might remind you of something bad that happened once when you were drinking it.

no its not weird at all as children the thought eating veggies is worse then eating dirt but as we get older we somehow start to like our veggies lol could you be pregnant? the first clue i was with my first child was the smell of peanuts mad me ill just a thought

OF COURSE IT ISN'T....LIKE WHEN I WAS A LIL KID..I HATED THE TASTE OF TOMOATOES...........NOW AT 25 I LOVE TOMATOES TASTE AND I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THEM!
