Hi does anyone know of a place that would be willing to deal with euro coins? I have recently travelled to Paris, and come back with around 18 Euros in 1 and 2 Euro coins. The bank accepted all my notes, but wouldn't deal with the coins- it just wasn't cost effective for them to deal with them, I've checked into it and the post office doesn't deal with them either, anyone know of a place that does? Even if it charges a little? Cheers in advance.

I've never know anywhere in this country to accept or change a pile of foreign coins. I used to find the best way to get shot of them was to make sure you spent them all at the airport (or whatever) before starting the homeward journey. Of course, with them all being Euros nowadays (unless of course you've been outside the EC!) you can always hang on to them and use them next time you go abroad.

Save them for a next trip to europe, coz the Post Office take them. Plus Banks charge and I dont think they take them. Just save and keep them for a next trip.

Your best bet is to spend them at a motorway service station as most of these accept euros.

try to find some one that will need them. when i was hard back packing Mexico central America in two or three days you could travel through several countries. when i got where i was going or ready to go home i would make two or three trips to the tourist bars and sell them to people going to that country most of the time it worked.
