First I am deeply sorry for what your friend and her family is going through. Just always be there for her, call her and let her know that you are thinking about her. Help her around the house, maybe help with her son, cook dinner - she is in shock and the last thing she needs is to worry about chores. Be a great listener, a great shoulder to cry on and just be a great best friends. In addition, hold her hand when she needs it.

I am experiencing this right now. My BF's just passed brutally. He was murdered. I have been listening to her. Trying to spend as much time with her as I can. Making sure she is eating, etc. And taking her kids so she can grieve alone.
How wonderful, that you love her enough to try to be the best friend to her you can be. KUDOS TO YOU

Listen,

The only thing you can do is lend an ear.
Beleive me I lost my baby at birth and the thing that I needed was just that.
It's a good thing that I have a good husband who don't mind me repeating and sobing all the time because of that. So just listen to her anytime she needs to talk.

Be there for her tell her if she needs anything do not hesitate to call you. Those motorcycles are so dangerous no matter how good the person thinks they are on them things happen.

Wow.. Very Sad. I would offer to cook her meals, see if she needed anything else. Offer to take her places to get things in order. Offer to watch her son.. she will need some time alone :(

just be by her side when she needs someone to talk to or a shoulder to cry on.
that's the best you can do right now. she has to deal with her loss in her own way.

the only thing that you can do is be there for her as a friend and make sure you set her up on dates as soon as she is ready.
