OK I have seen the Diesel price question get answers like supply and demand, etc. My question is: Is there a governmental strategic move to making diesel more expensive? Diesel prices have been lower than unleaded gas for many years and now it’s much more expensive than premium unleaded. I understand a few cents here and there, but I just saw it yesterday at a Raceway gas station at 20 cents more than premium. I know, another conspiracy theory, but hay I have to ask.

It costs less to produce diesel than gas and companies make more money with it. It has slowly gone up and is not coming back down. If they lower costs for gas they will continue with the same price for diesel to balance the income loss.

Diesel is more expensive but you get more mileage out of it.
