Why is it that everyone says they answer more than they ask but we never run out of questions to answer?

Assuming your talking about this site, it actually very simple, although I answered a question thae same as this not long ago.

If ten people sign on to this site and each ask one question, there are ten questions on the site. Then each person goes and answers each of the nine questions on the site they didn't ask. Each answer is resolved, and the process begins again.

Now, each person has asked two questions, but answered eighteen.

And so on, and so forth.

If your not talking about this site and instead are talking about life and the human race, you can try to apply this same idea on a much larger scale.

Or you can put it down to the unlimited curiosity of mankind!

Spend a bit of time actually reading the questions and you'll find that on most pages at least three of the questions have been asked at least twice during the previous week - in fact me and some friends are now answering some of these by starting with the phrase "Welcome return of old question" or words to that effect before referring the questioner to the "Search for Questions" box to see all the earlier answers.

I have wonderd that too. I have only asked 2 questions, yet I am up to level 5 answering...& I only have 660 for best answers & 1 for each day free points since June. I don't get it either, but it looks like people spend all their points asking questions!

This actually depends on the amount of questions you answer, and what level you are on. I often run out of questions to answer, as i only tend to concentrate on just a few subjects.

That is new to me.. I was of the opinion that a fool could ask questions that would take geniuses lifetimes to answer

presume a fool could ask one question daily then that would be around 5 million in his life time of which only one could be answered per genius... implying if there were equal number of geniuses and fools there would be 5 million questions per answer per generation...
