This is the worst time ever; the housing bubble has burst and demand has dropped dramatically in the last few months. Many houses currently for sale have been required to drop their asking price by as much as 25-50%! All indications show that this trend will continue through the winter, which is the slow season for housing.
If you buy real-estate now, regardless of the deal you get, you will be hard pressed to flip it for a profit anytime soon.
