if they are trojan horses they arent "real" files anyway. leave them in quarantine or delete them, it shouldnt effect your hard drive either way.

Your excellent free AVG has removed and isolated the infected files.
That IS GOOD.
Now you can restart your PC and ensure that it is operating better now... AND most times it will reboot(if not you have files quarantined for 'safe' access). But 99 out of 100 times you'l be rebooted and just worried about those quarantined files... NOW feel free to delete ALL quarantined files.
Are you updating your AV poduct? You should also find a software firewall such as free Zone Alarm(you can see what programs are attempting internet access(stop the ones you do not want and save your pc resources for YOU!).
Spybot is a more powerful free tool. This will identify hostile programs that may have been 'slipped' in... BUT do read directions before using advanced tools on that program.
Now your connection will be quicker and your PC will be quicker.
A little work but you will learn some good skills(terminology- loss of fear of great machine(or more fear if you do not read the directions...)

Normally it's best to delete rather than quarantine. The only time to quarantine is when the file is a word document or something you may need, then quarantine and hope the next update to the anti virus software will be able to clean the virus so you can use the file again.

It's not going to hurt anything if you leave them in Quarantine. At Virtual Lab Systems, we usually delete or wipe them out. However, there are times when that can have a negative effect. Our opinion is, Quarantine them for your own safety.

Experienced the same problems you have. I switched to Avira AntiVir from AVG because of AVG not capable of removing a virus.
AntiVir can be downloaded from http://www.free-av.com
(If the files in quarantine are system files do not delete anything. If they are not you can delete them safely)

Free 30 day trial. AVG sucks. Use the link provided and use the 30 day free trial while you look for a quality free anti spyware program. Ewido will clean it out your system. I used AVG, ad aware se, ewido, avats, and superantispyware. I ended up with xoft se, but had to purchase. But to my knowledge that is the best on the market right now. You can download the software, but you can not take any action without purchase. So I did.

if you are using XP the best way to remove a trojan is to use the system restore option you can locate it in START-->program files-->accessories-->system tools then click system restore. theres a wizard there that will guide you. be sure you restore your computer to the date when your unit is virus free.

hi, perhaps you can try norton to remove the virus and protect your PC, but you need to pay for the software.
i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
download firefox for free:
