Any idea how to pick up the birdseed? I talked to the Empress and she wants my help because she can't sleep, and I've seen the nightengale and I've got the birdcage! Help!

did you "talk" to the nightingale after talking to the empress about her sleeping problem? do that and then go for the birdseed. you also might have to do some sidequests fort he squirrels there, but i'm not sure if you have to.

The bird seed is with the squirrel. Just take it from them.
