I got married on a budget - and i found good value stuff in places like Claire's accessories - i got my flower girls an ivory wand in there with a cream rose in the top and long ivory ribbons hanging from it, for about £3 each - and the flowers we bought from Asda, and then just arranged them ourselves - including my bouquet.

we got the flower girls' dresses in George at Asda too - £12 each. the food was all bought at Asda and cooked ourselves. i hired my dress, as it was cheaper than buying. the older bridesmaids bought white leather flip flops from Peacocks for £4 each and we just stuck little rose buds on the straps to make them look prettier.

we got a friend to do all our hair. the page boys wore grey school trousers and white school shirts, both bought from George at Asda - i got the eldest bridesmaids, the best man and the groomsmen to each buy their own suits, and i just bought their ties to match - £8 each in M&S.

we also got the candles really cheap from Wilkinsons - about £1-£2 each and they have ivory pillar candles which are perfect for weddings.

if you really look for the stuff, you'll find it.

we spent probably less than £1500 on the whole wedding - including clothes, food, flowers - everything. oh - we got the venue for free, the DJ did it as a present cos we've known him for ages, the decs were done as a present and the cake was done as a present. SORTED

and it was the best day of my life - seriously - nothing went wrong and i couldn't have been happier!

it was a dream come true - and i wish you all the happiness i shared on my special day!

Check your local phone books for outlet stores. If you have any local glass or candle factories, call & see if they have outlets. Many do, and you can get great stuff cheap!
