my husband works odd hours and when he is off work he will not stay home and spend time with me or kids.i dont know what to do.his friends are more important than me. what should i do?

Been there, done that. Confront him with your feelings and try to have discussion about it. Let him know it bothers you and ask him why he does it. More than likely it's immaturity, he's not ready to give up his single life, by the way are his friends single? If he's the only one in his group of friends with responsibilities I.E wife and kids good luck. I hope you figure it out. Always listen to your gut. By the way I'm divorcing my husband for this reason and others.

You know, it really bothers me that when you ask a question like this, the first answer (in your case, from "lisa b") is to dump him!!
What happened to comittment? What happened to "for better or for worse"?
So back to your question....Your husband deserves time away from home. So do you. And you should have time outside the home together (like a date, sans kids), and also with the kids.
Everything in moderation, eh?
So...why don't you take the initiative to get a sitter for some night and arrange a date for you and your husband?
You might also want to consider taking turns going out, maybe he gets to go out on Friday night, on Saturday it's his turn to stay home with the kids and you get to go out.....

If you truely love your husband ;then put some romance back into your relationship.Try getting a sitter for the night or day.Then decorate your house or room with rose petals bed and all champagne,or wine which ever you prefer or him.Candle lit room, sexy teddy and wait for him to come to you.

Some changes need to be made... And be there for your kids even when he's not... They will appreciate you more later.. The kids are what matters.. Not that irresponsible husband of yours..

START HAVING A LIFE WITHOUT HIM. DO YOUR OWN THING, AND DON'T SIT AROUND WAITING FOR THE LITTLE BIT OF ATTENTION THAT YOU DO GET. GET SOME SELF-ESTEEM.
