Wow, what a jerk!!
Well to start off with your soon to be ex husband's boss has NO business in getting involved in something that is not final yet. You can fight for property and belongings. Did you not do a divorce decree? In it should have how everything is split from the house to the dogs to the dishes to just everything. It is not fair that he took everything. Sometimes the spouse that is entitled to everything is either a jerk or the victim. I would contact an attorney because that is not right. In the meantime you should apply for disability help through the govt. They should help you. Good luck.

First of all, if ur Doctor has ordered u not to work u can get disability from the state, its not much money but its some money, and they also will give u Medicaid insurance .. so go get on that..
2nd of all, if ur divorce isnt final yet he has a obligation of keeping u on all medical plans until the divorce is final.. and if he messes with that prior to the divorce id let the judge know about it.. he would probably be made liable for atleast half of any doctor bills u have until the divorce is final.. do to his tampering..
Also seek alimony since ur unable to work more then likely he'd have to pay for alimony atleast for a short time.. But make sure u have proof in hand from Doctors explaining ur condition and that u are unable to work at this time.. and how long they precieve it will be untill ur capable of working again.. For example if the docs say its going to be atleast a year, the judge would probably make him atleast pay alimony for that long..ect.. but u have to have the proof to back it up or the judge wont even hear it..

Buy your own health insurance ASAP. As long as you do NOT have a lapse in coverage of more than 63 days, your new insurance CANNOT deny any claims for pre-existing conditions.
This is mandated by HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act). It was passed in the mid-90's to ensure that when people switched insurance companies (e.g. due to job change, or change in maritial status) they'd still be covered.
So.....as long as you buy new insurance within 63 days of the date your husband dropped you, you should be ok.
In terms of "what can you do".....well, your hubby must be quite a jerk to drop you off his coverage like that, but there isn't much you can do about it, he's not required by law to cover you. Perhaps you can have it written into the divorce settlement that he has to provide health insurance for you, but that will be beyond the 63 days, and any health conditions that already exist (you mentioned that you're disabled) wouldn't be covered.

You should get disability through the state and I think that they cannot cut you off of his insurance until you are divorced officially. I think that it sucks what he is doing and I wish you the best I hope that you can come to a better place in your life after this. But remember that he will be taken care of, there is nothing in this world that we do good or bad that we are not punished or rewarded for.

Send a letter to the insurance company(certified) explaining the divorce has not been finalized and you are a disabled individual. This is illegal n their part and can get sued if you can't get health coverage. Then call social services/DHR they should be able to help you out with your other needs including a lawyer if necessary.

Call your state Department of Human Resources. Make an appointment and apply for medicaid. It is possible for them to do it over the phone. You said that you are disabled. Have you applied for social security? If not, do it today and get a lawyer today as well. If the lawyer takes your case, he will be paid when social security finally approves you.
If you are still legally married Human Resources will tell you if you qualify. Where I live, there is a program called Care Link. See if you have something similar.
Best of luck to you.

If you are disabled contact your state welfare office and social security they should be able to help you. The other thing you need to do is contact the court house and see if they can refer you to a lawyer or other agency to assist you in the divorce. I understand what you are going through divorce can get real ugly. Also call any local charity and see what they can do to assist you - I called every charity in the phone book and got and overwhelming amount of help and assistance.

You can't afford NOT to get a lawyer.
Your first consultation will not cost much and the lawyer will be able to give you a lot of valuable help in that first talk. If you have a lawyer, it's quite likely that he/she will be able to get you 1/2 of everything from your spouse as well as force him to pay spousal benefits including health care.
