What do you say about dance instructors who try and make you look bad in front of music artists? And you know that you have the good talent, yet she tries to make you suffer anyway? I had to leave an organization because of this bad treatment. Tell me your answers please.

Quick Note: I did join another dance company but this time its not hip-hop...its my native salsa, and I must say I am doing pretty well with the choreography there. I agree with the ones who said that she was intimidated so she used "put down" tactics to run me out of there. It might have worked, but it worked for the best and not for the worst. She sucks anyway...

You never should have left, you should have stayed and fought through to stay. You only gave her exactly what she wanted. You are good and she feared for her job if anyone noticed, even though I am sure that your reasons of being there were not for her job, some people are insecure like that and I know that was the problem......... you were good, and in her eyes to good, you have been able to take something away from her and she feared that, so she pushed you out. I would suggest getting into another class and pursueing your dream now that you left hers. Blessed be.

Learning dance should not be a humiliating, or painful emotional experience. Maybe the instructor thought that her motives were good ones. Trying to make you your best. But when you push a person too hard and too fast , it just hurts them. Seek out a different instructor and talk with them first for a while to ask questions about their teaching techniques, and how they expect their students to progress. Find an instructor whos personality is a better fit with your own. Dance should be fun. Not painful. Good luck to you ! :)

Perhaps your not as good as you think and are taking it tooo personal. SO what now...your gon run from every dance insturctor that tells you something you dont want to hear? You need to grow up and learn to take criticism. You probably ran out on some damn good advice that would have enhanced your 'talent'..

Very bad instructor if this IS the case. Are you sure you are not over-rating your own work and the instructor is not trying to make you better? Be very careful here!

It's all part of toughening you up. You obviously don't "got it" if you let them run you out of there. Go back and show 'em what you got and don't let anyone run you down. You're doing great, they just have to see how you can perform under pressure, it's nothing personal.

don't feel upset. maybe that's his way of letting you enhance your talent. he discourage you and don't get affected with it instead take it as an inspiration. show him that you can do it! don't leave the organization! he's just using you a reverse pshycology tactics, do the same way with him!
